This term we are reading, "The Day We Met The Queen". The ideas in this book will inspire our writing throughout the term.

In PSHE we have been exploring "risks". In the activity shown below, the children were asked to rate different scenarios by level of risk. As a class we then discussed how we could make the "risky" scenarios safer. The children showed an awareness of how important it is to have and follow rules in order to make risks safer and how being supervised for certain activities is essential.

Witches and Wizards Day
During Witches and Wizards Day we wrote magical poems, wore spooky clothes, choreographed spooky dances, used column addition at the "Magic Shop" and learned how to do "Doodleart".
Diwali
We learned about the festival of light by retelling the story of Rama and Sita, making origami Diya lamps, exploring mehndi patterns with water-colours, taking part in a mindful colouring competition and by retrieving information from non-fiction texts.
Science - Rocks and Soils
The children have enjoyed learning about Rocks and Soils. They particularly liked learning about the formation of fossils and our lesson on modelling the layers of soil with chocolate and sweets.
